Resilience, or Organization of Continuing Activities: Planning, Testing and Support

 

Since the beginning of the pandemic and so far, in connection with russia's deployment of hostilities in Ukraine, the business world is bouncing around Resilience (recovery) or viability of business. The reason for this is that owners and managers of companies have vividly sensed that there is a very fine line between decline and prosperity.

 

The term Resilience means sustainability and business support. The course contains recommendations and techniques that allow people, processes and information systems to adapt to changing conditions. The ability to change your operations in a changing environment while maintaining the continuity of providing critical functions to customers is now key to any organization.

 

During 8 academic hours of the seminar (4x90 minutes) we will consider the best practices (i.e., ISO 22301) and their implementation concerning:

 

  • how the management of continuous activities should be organized;
  • what emergencies should be addressed in the plans;
  • how to identify critical business processes;
  • how an emergency plan should be developed and maintained.

 

Course program: 

  1. Modern hybrid threats.    Emergency.    Advent criteria.    Legal consequences.
  2. What we provide: approaches to defining critical business processes.  Business Impact Analysis.
  3. Drawing up a set of business continuity plans (BCP).
  4. Drawing up disaster recovery plans (DRPs).  Technical aspects of ensuring continuing operation.
  5. Support, testing and updating business continuity plans.  Regulatory requirements. Reserve area. Backups. Response team. Acts of testing.

Anastasia is a certified trainer, the holder of certificates CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, Director of UAG LLC (continuity since 1999), President of ISACA Kyiv 2018-2020, Master of Economics (Economic Cybernetics), has experience in auditing and consulting since 2005 for companies from 5 to 40,000 employees in implementation and control of information security management systems, business continuity plans, audit of information systems, implementation of consulting projects on process automation, electronic document management and archiving, implementation of operational risk management systems, audit of financial statements, capital, credit risks.
