Advanced IT Technologies and Industrial Applications — Toward International Cooperation with Ukrainian IT Personnel


Welcome to this two-day online seminar focused on advanced IT and its industrial and social applications. Aimed at Ukrainian students and faculty in IT-related fields, this event will introduce cutting-edge technologies from Japan and demonstrate their applications across various industries.

The webinar also highlights international cooperation in education. You’ll learn about joint programs between universities and how Ukrainian institutions can join global networks for IT training, research, and academic exchange.

Finally, we’ll explore opportunities to work with Japanese companies in business development and IT talent development. This includes potential partnerships, internships, and collaborative projects that support long-term cooperation between Ukraine and international tech leaders.

The event is organized with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

JICAJapan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is an organization responsible for implementing Japan’s ODA (Official Development Assistance) in a unified manner and engages in international cooperation for developing countries. Cooperating with the international community, including the G7, Japan provides support in response to the challenges Ukraine is facing. Under the Country Assistance Policy for Ukraine, JICA continues to provide support to Ukraine in various schemes such as technical cooperation and ODA loan, with a primary focus on: 1) Support for economic stability, 2) Improvement of people's lives and environment, and 3) Promotion of autonomous governance and internal reconciliation.


JDSJapan Development Service Co., Ltd. (JDS) is a Japanese consulting firm established in 1973. While JDS has been particularly active in such development sectors as “the promotion of industries and SMEs”, “human resources development”, and “health and medical care”, JDS has been widening as well as intensifying the scope of its work in increasingly important sectors in recent years, such as “information and communication technology” and “the environment”. Recently JDS has been involved in JICA projects to support Ukrainian people in Poland and IT human resource development in Ukraine. This webinar is part of the activities of the JICA project titled “Data Collection Survey on IT training for Ukrainian refugees in Poland and IT sector human resource development in Ukraine.”
