BDO has released introductory training material on IFRS 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements.
IFRS 18 will replace IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements and will affect all entities applying IFRS Accounting Standards. IFRS 18 is effective for annual reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027 with earlier application permitted.
The training includes the following courses:
- General requirements
- Statement of profit or loss*
- Statement of other comprehensive income
- Statement of financial position
- Statement of changes in equity
- Notes and Management-defined performance measures*
*These courses contain the majority of the significant changes introduced by IFRS 18 compared to IAS 1. The course suite, however, comprehensively covers all requirements of IFRS 18, including requirements that remain largely unchanged from IAS 1.
