BDO in Ukraine signs a membership agreement with the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (PUIG)

BDO in Ukraine has recently signed a membership agreement with the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (PUIG), which is a center of knowledge, support, inspiration and exchange of experience and contacts that promotes Polish-Ukrainian cooperation.

The goal of our cooperation with the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce is getting involved in a broader information exchange between the business communities of the two countries. Over the past year, approximately every 10th new business in Poland was created by Ukrainian entrepreneurs. According to CEIDG (the register of private entrepreneurs), since the beginning of 2022, Ukrainian citizens have registered about 10 200 companies in Poland. Interestingly, 96% of these companies were registered after February 24, 2022. Also, more than 3000 Polish companies are still operating in Ukraine today.

BDO in Ukraine, as a leading international audit and consulting network, is aware that Ukraine is on the path of actual European integration, and the matter of access to international markets is more relevant for Ukrainian business than ever before. For many years, the Polish Chamber of Commerce has been supporting the development of cooperation between our countries and the deepening of Ukraine's European integration. At the very beginning of the war, the Polish Business Association declared its solidarity with Ukrainian society, and in particular with the Ukrainian business community. In addition, since the first days of the Russian invasion, Poland has become Ukraine's closest political and military ally, as well as a key humanitarian and economic partner, for which we are deeply grateful. The Polish market has also offered a safe shelter for Ukrainian business.

About the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce

The Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (PUIG) is one of the oldest bilateral chambers in Poland, which has been working since 1992 to improve the development of economic and social relations between Poland and Ukraine. Experience and skills, together with a professional approach to business partners, allow us to successfully represent companies and implement the vision of effective and efficient cooperation between Poland and Ukraine.

The methods of implementing these goals are as follows:

  • Professional assistance and support for the business of member firms
  • Representation of Ukrainian investors in Poland and Polish investors in Ukraine
  • Cooperation with Polish, Ukrainian and international business entities
  • Creation of a positive image of Ukraine in Poland and Poland in Ukraine

We are convinced that the expansion and deepening of international trade cooperation with such a reliable partner is a significant step towards post-war reconstruction. Poland is preparing to contribute to Ukraine's recovery, and Ukrainian business should contribute to these intentions.
