BDO in Ukraine at Job Expo 2024

BDO in Ukraine at Job Expo 2024

On March 5, 2024, the representatives of BDO in Ukraine: Yevgenia Golub, HR manager, Andrii Pylypchuk, Talent Acquisition Specialist, and Mykhailo Atamanov, junior analyst, took part in JOB EXPO — a large-scale career festival by Taras Shevchenko KNU.

The forum was attended by the biggest players in the financial, auditing and consulting spheres and the IT market. Our team represented BDO in Ukraine as a stable and reliable employer with a growing pool of vacancies and as a company that actively invests in the development of young professionals for the most efficient and versatile development of their potential, as well.

The festival included both online activities and an offline part within the premises of the Faculty of Radiophysics, Electronics and Computer Systems in Taras Shevchenko KNU where the student community from the largest Kyiv universities was also involved.

During the event the BDO in Ukraine team presented a new internship program for students of economic specialties. The students learned about the internships with a possibility of further employment in the company.

Internship at BDO in Ukraine is an opportunity to try oneself in different areas. Interns will receive assignments in the following areas:
  • audit
  • tax audit
  • analytics
  • project development
  • business process automation

Each intern will see and experience in practice how various service lines of our company operate. Each will be involved in projects from several departments. And, as a result, each will determine for oneself the priority direction for development. The best interns will be offered permanent employment.

“We tried to pay attention to each student interested in BDO in Ukraine and we were approached not only by future economists but also IT experts, analysts, lawyers and even microbiologists. Everyone got informed about the company and was offered to follow the QR code to fill in a special form and to receive news and job offers from BDO in Ukraine.” — Andrii Pylypchuk noted.

Communication with students may be difficult but remarkably interesting, even provocative sometimes. They have hundreds of different questions and comments. Regarding this fact it was quite appropriate to involve Mykhailo Atamanov — our young specialist being a student combining education and work himself, he helped to answer the most difficult questions based on his own experience.

“It was pleasing to observe the awareness of some young individuals about our company and its activities. We were particularly impressed when a student, approaching our stand with a friend, began to elaborate on our projects, our significance in the auditing and consulting sector, and the employment prospects, which captivated our team.” — Yevgenia Golub said.

Of course, potential talents were noted individually, and they will be the first to get recommended for consideration by mentors for possible cooperation.

For our organization this event was both an exciting occurrence and a serious challenge. The defined goals which included positioning BDO in Ukraine as the reliable employer, presenting the internship program and identifying potential talents, were successfully implemented. The team immersed itself in the student environment for one day and felt the enthusiasm and energy of the new generation which inspired us to pursue further achievements. To us, this new experience opened up future prospects, in particular, the attraction of young, purposeful and talented employees.

Our advice to all the ambitious and goal-oriented students and young people: attend similar events, take interest in existing companies that you plan to work in, and definitely go for internships or internship programs.
