Updates to BDO’s Foreigner’s Guide on Business Travel to Ukraine
BDO Ukraine’s team has released the fifth edition of the Foreigner’s Guide on Business Travel to Ukraine, offering updated and expanded insights for international visitors navigating the country during wartime. The guide, first launched in May 2024, provides essential information on safe transportation, insurance, security measures and more.
What’s new in this edition?
The new “Food & Shopping” chapter highlights how daily life continues in many parts of Ukraine, with supermarkets, cafes and shopping malls operating under adjusted safety protocols. The guide offers recommendations for restaurants, cafes and shopping venues, with insights into their operating hours during air raid alerts. Meanwhile, the “Essential Security Measures” section provides practical advice on how to respond to air raid alerts, prepare emergency kits and what to do in case of an emergency.
Transportation updates include revised train and bus routes from neighboring countries, improved airport connections and current information on city transit systems. The guide also expands its overview of insurance programs, comparing options that include war-risk coverage — a requirement for foreign nationals entering Ukraine.
Despite the ongoing war, the guide emphasizes that many regions, particularly in western and central Ukraine, remain accessible and relatively safe for travel. It also includes detailed curfew maps, shelter locations and emergency contacts.
Whether you're traveling for business or personal reasons, this guide offers essential information to help you travel safely and efficiently throughout Ukraine. For more details, check out the full guide below or Contact Us for practical advice.
