Transparency in the use of funds and the trust of international partners are key conditions for Ukraine’s successful recovery. At a time when billions of dollars in donor and investment aid are being directed toward reconstruction projects, the quality of audit and compliance determines not only efficiency but also the reputation of the state and its partners.
During the discussion, BDO experts and invited speakers will explore how to build a control system that ensures accountability and trust at all levels — from civil society organizations and charities to public institutions and private companies attracting international funding.
Participants will learn about:
- new approaches to auditing grant projects during wartime;
- donors’ and international financial institutions’ expectations regarding transparency and reporting;
- common risks identified during audits and ways to mitigate them;
- the importance of independent valuation of assets and damages in strengthening trust among donors, businesses, and the state.
