In light of the present challenges Ukraine has faced, the effective recovery and sustainable development are contingent on collaboration between the international organisations, businesses and government agencies. At BDO in Ukraine, we are convinced that by establishing partnerships and combining resources, we can contribute to both recovery and long-term stability of Ukraine.
That is why BDO in Ukraine has become an official member of the Skills Alliance for Ukraine and SME Resilience Alliance initiatives, which were announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024 in Berlin by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).
These alliances bring together donors, international organisations and businesses to support education, including vocational, development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Ukraine’s economic resilience. The cooperation is implemented directly in Ukraine where BDO in Ukraine implements innovative projects to improve the skills of local employees and support small and medium-sized businesses. These initiatives are contributing to the sustainable development of municipalities and the acceleration of the country’s economic recovery.
Within each of the alliances, the company carries out strategic tasks aimed at improving competencies, driving digital transformation and strengthening the resilience of Ukrainian municipalities and businesses.

A particular attention is paid to young people, internally displaced persons and vulnerable groups, as well as to aligning standards with the EU requirements. The Ukrainian and international businesses are key partners of the Skills Alliance, providing the jobs vital for economic recovery.
